Keith Haring / Akila

“Art is for everybody” was a motto of artist Keith Haring—and these sunglasses live up to that philosophy. Akila released two Keith Haring collections in 2023 & 2024 inspired by Haring’s iconic artwork and personal style.

The first collection, released in summer 2023, pay homage to the Pop art legend’s work with temple tips shaped like his famous line work. Inspired by the glasses that Haring wore, these MoMA Design Store exclusive sunglasses have frames that are handmade from eco-friendly cellulose acetate and come in a Keith Haring cork leather case with a custom cleaning cloth featuring Haring's artwork.

The second collection, released in spring 2024, included two new frames featuring iconic Haring figures and three new “puff pouch” carrying cases featuring a custom Keith Haring-inspired design and microfiber lining to protect against scratches.
