The iconographic universe of Ryan Mcginness meets the emblematic pieces of the house of Agnés b. Ryan and Agnés first met at an exhibition in Paris in 2003 and have worked on various projects together over the years. A longtime friend of agnès b., Ryan McGuinness has exhibited several times at the Galerie du Jour. In 2006, he also produced an issue of Point d'Ironie, a periodical created by agnès b., Christian Boltanski and Hans Ulrich Obrist in 1997.

As the artist explains, "I try to communicate poetic and complex concepts with a cold graphic and authoritative visual vocabulary. I focus on form, color, and composition within simplified pictorial surfaces. As such, my work lies somewhere between abstraction and representation."

Immersed in an urban world from an early age, Ryan McGinness saw the power of logos and icons, which he uses to deliver powerful messages. Starting out as small sketches, his works have evolved into beautiful creations, like this fresco selected by Agnès for their 2024 collection!
